We follow the same working methods as in ancient 15th century Tuscan Workshops.

See all production processes…

1. Planks of solid chestnut wood: the raw material used to make our furniture
.

2. Marking the different pieces with templates, which will later be hand “contoured”

3. Working of turned pieces with a hand lathe

.

4. Desizing to flatten every irregularity in the wood

.

5. Masters hand-carving using chisels, gouges and mallet
.

6. Craftsmen hand-assembling at the bench

.

7. Treating with water using a brush to allow the piece to age naturally over time

.

8. Hand-sanding with sandpaper before wax polishing

.

9. Assembly and testing by master craftsman, before wax polishing

.

10. Painting is done individually, on planks that have “cracked” naturally, using ancient techniques
